CEO

Janine Guillot is Chief Executive Officer of the Value Reporting Foundation. As CEO, her priorities are to increase use of Integrated Thinking Principles, the Integrated Reporting Framework and the SASB Standards by companies and investors around the world and to advance progress towards a globally accepted comprehensive corporate reporting system. Ms. Guillot was CEO of SASB before becoming CEO of the Value Reporting Foundation.

Prior to joining SASB, Ms. Guillot served as Chief Operating Investment Officer for the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS). She has held senior leadership positions at Barclays Global Investors and Bank of America. At Barclays Global Investors, she served as Chief Operating Officer for BGI’s European and Global Fixed Income businesses. At Bank of America, she served in Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer roles for retail and commercial business units. A graduate of Southern Methodist University (SMU), she began her career as a technical accountant and auditor with Ernst & Young.

In recognition for her leadership at the intersection of sustainability, accounting and finance, Ms. Guillot was selected as a 2020 NACD Directorship 100 Honoree and named to the 2020 Business Insider’s 100 People Transforming Business list.

President & COO

Matthew Welch has dedicated his career to leading mission-based organizations through the challenges of achieving impact, scale and self-sufficiency. His experience spans government, nonprofit and for-profit sectors, and he has led teams in entering new markets, launching products and programs and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

As President & COO, Mr. Welch partners with the CEO to develop the organization’s strategic objectives and lead the staff in implementing them. He works across the organization to increase the efficiency and impact of operations, with a special focus on financial matters and the organization’s commercial activities.

He has broad experience in strategy, operations and product development, developed through senior roles at Kaplan Test Prep, Kaplan K12 Learning Services, Junyo, Teachscape and The Rotary Foundation. Years of experience with education programs, software and data products and research studies provide a good background for equipping the market with offerings that support education and use of the Foundation’s standards and frameworks.

Mr. Welch holds a BA from Grinnell College and an MPA in management and public policy from Columbia University. He is member of the Grinnell College Board of Trustees, where he has served on the Finance, Development and Academic Affairs Committees. He currently chairs the Audit & Assessment Committee.

Whitney Pollack is Chief of Staff to the CEO and Assistant Secretary of the Value Reporting Foundation Board. As Chief of Staff, Ms. Pollack acts as a thought partner to the CEO and frees up time for the CEO to focus on areas where she can have the greatest impact. Ms. Pollack works with the Value Reporting Foundation’s Board of Directors, preparing agendas, attending meetings and drafting minutes. Before joining SASB in 2017, Ms. Pollack worked in non-profit finance, operations and event management. She holds a BA from the University of Oregon and an MBA from Presidio Graduate School.

Charles Tilley OBE is board director and senior advisor of the Value Reporting Foundation, where his focus is on driving convergence in the corporate reporting system internationally.

Charles is a recognized leader in the finance and accounting industry following a career as Partner at KPMG, CFO of two investment banks – Hambro’s and Granville, and in non-executive roles, including Chair of IFAC’s Professional Accountants in Business Committee.

Most recently, Charles served as CEO of the IIRC where he led a merger with SASB to form the Value Reporting Foundation.

Charles spent 15 years as CEO of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and led its merger with the AICPA.

Throughout his career Charles has focused on ensuring high-quality information supports effective business and investor decision-making.

As the Chief Technical Officer for the SASB Standards, Bryan Esterly guides the technical staff’s standard-setting activities to maintain and improve the SASB Standards, including collaborating with the SASB Standards Board in its reviews and approvals of updates to the Standards. His role is centered on supporting the staff’s research and consultations with industry and investors in order to drive the standardization of financially material sustainability information in corporate reporting for investors. Prior to the Value Reporting Foundation and SASB, Mr. Esterly worked in the financial risk management industry, most recently serving as Vice President with Aon’s Financial Services Group. He is a CFA charterholder.

Lisa French oversees the maintenance of the International Framework and the development of related research, tools and implementation guidance. Prior to joining the IIRC in February 2012, Ms. French served as Technical Director at the Global Reporting Initiative and Principal, Guidance and Support at CPA Canada. Her industry experience includes work at 3M, Metso Minerals and Ford Motor Company. She has also consulted to the International Finance Corporation on investment strategies, training programs and external communications.

Ms. French has an MBA in Finance and Business & Sustainability from the Schulich School of Business, York University, Toronto. She holds an Engineering Chemistry degree with an Environmental specialization from Queen’s University, Kingston. She is a licensed professional engineer.

Wim Bartels leads the initiatives of the Corporate Reporting Dialogue as part of its ambition to exchange insights on further convergence between the participants. In this capacity he manages the overall content and process of public materials and participates in the regular meetings.

Mr. Bartels is on secondment from KPMG in The Netherlands to the Value Reporting Foundation. He is a partner in Corporate Reporting at KPMG, after a period of 13 years in which he focused on sustainability reporting and assurance. From 2010 to 2017 he was KPMG’s Global Head of Sustainability Reporting and Assurance and served over 40 listed and multinational clients across Europe.

Mr. Bartels holds a Master’s degree in Business Economics and completed his post-graduate Accountancy at Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. He is a Chartered Accountant.

Dr. Bridges is a Project Manager in Technical Operations, a continuation of the role she held at the IIRC. She has been working towards the transition to a comprehensive corporate reporting system with other international frameworks and standard setters. Prior to this, she was a Lecturer at the University of Auckland, New Zealand teaching accounting from introductory level to Masters. She completed her PhD in 2019 on integrated reporting and has presented her research at a number of international conferences.

Dr. Bridges is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and CPA Australia and has had varied experience working as an accountant in New Zealand as well as the UK. She is passionate about improving the relevance of business reporting by producing concise, transparent and useful information for decision making.

As Operations Associate, Blanka Fuzvolgyi acts as the liaison between the Research Team, SASB Standards Board and the public. She provides logistical support for these groups, including the organization and documentation of high-profile events such as public board meetings and external speaking engagements. She also supports the internal needs of SASB Standards Board and the Research Team through the design and implementation of processes to maximize efficiency. Mrs. Fuzvolgyi holds a BA in Secondary English Education and a Graduate Certificate in Business Foundations from the University of South Florida.

Emily Gaston leads research and development for the Financials sector of the SASB standards. Ms. Gaston is responsible for engaging with industry, investors and subject matter experts to maintain and create industry specific SASB standards. Prior to starting with the Value Reporting Foundation, Ms. Gaston held various assurance roles in financial institutions in both London and New York, including Nomura Securities, Standard Life Investments, Lombard Odier Investment Managers and PwC. Ms. Gaston is a licensed CPA in New York state and holds a BSc in Accountancy from Queen’s University of Belfast. Ms. Gaston is currently pursuing an MSc in Sustainability Management at the Columbia University in the City of New York.

Dr. Laura Girella is Senior Technical and Research Manager at the Value Reporting Foundation, collaborating on the development of technical work as well as coordinating the Academic Network and Database.

She is also a Senior Research Fellow in Business Economics at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (with an abilitation to serve as Associate and Full Professor).

She holds a PhD in Accounting and Business Economics with the University of Ferrara (Italy). She has been Visiting Researcher at the Manchester Business School, University of Alberta School of Business and at Schulich School of Business (Toronto). She has been teaching in several Italian Universities. She has published papers in primary academic journals and international books as well as two books with Routledge. She has presented numerous papers in national and international scientific conferences. She has been invited as a speaker to academic and professional events.

She joined the staff of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) in 2014. Since February 2018, she is a member of the Stakeholder Reporting Committee of the European Accounting Association (EAA SRC) and, from June 2020 to June 2021, she has been a member of the EFRAG Project Taskforce on Non-Financial Risks and Opportunities and Linkage to the Business Model. Over the years, she has also cooperated with the World Intellectual Capital Initiative (WICI) and the Italian Foundation for Business Reporting (OIBR).

Will Meister is an Analyst at the Value Reporting Foundation working on the Infrastructure sector of the SASB Standards. He works with companies, investors and subject matter experts to develop and drive the adoption of market standards for reporting financially-material, cost-effective and decision-useful sustainability information. Prior to joining SASB in 2020, he worked as an accountant at Google, an ESG analyst at Sustainalytics, a business developer at an AgTech startup and a tax consultant at Deloitte. He is a licensed CPA in Arizona and holds an MSc in Sustainable Resource Management from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and a Master in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He received the Sustainable Resource Management Award from the Audi Environmental Foundation for his master’s thesis at TUM.

Liz Prescott is Technical Director of the Framework, focused on delivery of the related technical work programme, coordinating the International Integrated Reporting Framework Board, as well as providing cross-functional technical support to the Global Outreach and Education team. She also works with local stakeholder networks to raise awareness and encourage adoption of integrated reporting in Australian and New Zealand.

Formerly Technical Director in the IIRC’s Guidance, Research and Training Team, Ms. Prescott is based in Melbourne, Australia and has been on long term secondment from KPMG to the IIRC. Beginning her professional career as a financial auditor, she has also consulted in the US and Europe, gaining extensive strategic, operational and financial experience. On her return to Melbourne, she held senior roles in corporate reporting and risk and quality teams before joining the IIRC.

She has Bachelors of Business (Accounting) and Arts (Psychology) from Monash University and is a Chartered Accountant.

In his role as Director of Research, Market Engagement, Marvin Smith develops relationships and structures engagements with market participants for dialogues with the Research Team and SASB Standards Board regarding feedback on financially-material sustainability topics. This feedback ensures that the SASB Standards update process remains market informed. His work includes managing the activities related to the SASB Standards Advisory Group (SAG), a standing committee of volunteer industry experts who provide feedback on the implementation and use of the SASB Standards. Prior to joining SASB, Mr. Smith served as a sustainability consultant where he was responsible for facilitating discourses and partnerships regarding sustainability issues between companies and NGOs. He helped companies understand trends and best practices in shareholder advocacy, transparency, and the dissemination of environmental, social and governance (ESG) information, including materiality assessment and CSR reporting.

Kelli Okuji Wilson is an analyst covering the healthcare sector of the SASB Standards. In addition, she oversees and manages human capital work for the SASB Standards. Ms. Wilson works with companies, investors and subject matter experts to develop and drive the adoption of market standards for reporting financially-material, cost-effective, and decision-useful sustainability information.

Prior to joining SASB in 2019, Mrs. Wilson was a lead analyst with Moody’s Investors Service on the Local Governments West team, covering ten different states and a variety of municipal entities, including hospital districts, public utilities, cities and school districts. At Moody’s, Mrs. Wilson served as a member of the ESG Americas Taskforce and the US PFG ESG Taskforce, where she helped author Moody’s fundamental research piece on how ESG factors are integrated into Moody’s general obligation methodology. Ms. Wilson also was a member of the Non-for-Profit Healthcare team, where she monitored speculative-grade and near-speculative grade credits for multi-million and multi-billion dollar healthcare system issuers. Ms. Wilson received her MBA from Columbia Business School and a Master in International Affairs from Columbia University’s SIPA. She received her BA from Harvard University with a concentration in sociology.

Previously, Ms. Xia led research and standards development at SASB for the Food & Beverage sector. Prior to joining SASB in 2017, Ms. Xia served as an economic consultant to leading law firms where she prepared damages analyses and expert witness reports for commercial litigation. Ms. Xia holds an MBA and Master of Environmental Management from Duke University and BS in Business Administration and BA in Environmental Sciences from the University of Southern California.

Nicolai Lundy is the Chief of Market Relationships. He identifies opportunities for sustainability professionals, financial reporting professionals, investment analysts and others to benefit from the Value Reporting Foundation’s research on the financial impacts of sustainability and the benefits of a holistic view of value creation. In his role, Nicolai oversees offerings that primarily emerge from the SASB Standards, including the “SASB Inside” licensing program, SASB Alliance membership and related education programs. Early in his tenure, he led the development of the FSA Credential. He has been with the Value Reporting Foundation since late 2013 (when it was SASB). Prior to 2013, he had a variety of client relationship and operations roles in Norway and the U.S.

Dr. Jeremy Osborn is the Value Reporting Foundation’s Director of Business Relationships & Networks, working with a wide variety of international businesses, organizations and professional institutes to support the scaling and adoption of integrated reporting, integrated thinking and SASB Standards. He was formerly the IIRC’s Director of Business & Stakeholder Engagement.

He is an experienced senior executive and strategy consultant, with deep experience of how sustainability catalyses systems change. He previously worked for EY, The Prince’s Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) Project and Accenture, advising clients across a broad range of sectors on how to integrate their sustainability strategy with their core business objectives, and then measure and communicate the value which this creates for their stakeholders. He began his career in commercial management at Unilever.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, holds a D.Phil. on the history of the East India Company and graduated with First Class honours in Modern History from Oxford University.

Rebecca Bar is the Membership and Engagement Manager at the Value Reporting Foundation. In this role, she leads the SASB Alliance, a membership program that provides opportunities to explore best practices in ESG integration and corporate reporting. The SASB Alliance builds a community to bring the SASB Standards to the capital markets. Prior to joining SASB in 2019, Ms. Bar worked at Ceres, focusing on institutional investor action via the Ceres Investor Network on Climate Risk and Sustainability and at the Environmental Business Council of New England. She holds a BA in Environmental Analysis and Policy from Boston University and is both a CFA Claritas Certificate and Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting Credential holder.

Dr. Cristiano Busco co-leads the work within the Value Reporting Foundation’s special interest group on Integrated Thinking & Strategy, which consists of around 40 companies and knowledge partners. The focus of the group is to offer world-renowned and innovative organizations the opportunity to share thinking about developing strategy across multiple capitals, learn from world leaders and co-create a common view of integrated thinking that is globally relevant to help build resilient, future-fit businesses.

A Ph.D from Manchester Business School, Cristiano is also Full Professor of Accounting and Reporting at Luiss Business School in Rome, and Roehampton Business School, in London. With more than 20 years of experience in higher education and training, Dr. Busco has held various positions in the US (University of Southern California, Los Angeles, and Babson College, Boston), the UK (Manchester Business School), Ireland (National University of Ireland, Galway) and Italy (University of Siena). He has conducted research, and published reports for the AICPA-CIMA (American Institute of CPAs – The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and for the IMA (Institute of Management Accountants).

Dr. Busco’s main research interests include Performance Measurement and Corporate Reporting; Integrated Reporting and its development; Integrated Thinking and Strategy; Corporate Purpose and Sustainability. He has published several academic papers, professional contributions and books on Integrated Thinking and Reporting.

Dr. Busco was the inaugural Chair of the Academic Network of the IIRC.

In his role, Mr. Cohen works with institutional investors and asset owners, integrating financially material, industry-specific ESG topics and metrics into investment processes across asset classes. Prior to joining SASB, Mr. Cohen was Head of Business Development at Sonen Capital, an ESG & Impact dedicated OCIO and fund manager. Prior to Sonen, he was a Director of Investment Opportunities at Venovate where he led due diligence on alternative investment strategies ranging from timber, real estate, hedge funds, and secondary strategies. Mr. Cohen has spent his career working with sophisticated investors at organizations such as Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch and Gerson Lehrman Group. He holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a BBA from the University of Michigan. Mr. Cohen is a CAIA Charterholder and FSA Credential Holder.

Katie Schmitz Eulitt is a leader in the field of sustainability with 20+ years of experience on four continents and nine countries. She has created business solutions to address environmental and social challenges and opportunities across a broad range of industries including renewable energy, forest stewardship, water purification and other clean technologies.

Most recently, her work has focused on improving corporate transparency on progress addressing environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues and, in particular, the provision of meaningful, true and balanced communication to investors on the management of these factors – towards the goal of better aligning capital with society’s changing needs and expectations. Ms. Schmitz Eulitt was among the first staff members of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and, having co-founded SASB’s Investor Advisory Group in 2016, now leads that Group. She also manages relationships with stakeholders in key APAC markets.

Ms. Schmitz Eulitt serves on the Advisory Council of Columbia University’s Sustainable Finance Professionals Network (CSFPN). She is a founding member of Private Directors Association, OC Chapter and earned a Global Competent Boards Designation (GCB.D) from ESG Competent Boards in 2020.

Ms. Schmitz Eulitt holds a bachelor’s degree in Japanese from the University of California, Berkeley. She earned her MBA at l’Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires (INSEAD) in Fontainebleau, France, and an Executive Certificate in Sustainability from the Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco.

Ms. Fomina is a Business Network Manager at the Value Reporting Foundation. She oversees the Business Network, a global network of companies that are interested in advancing their journey with integrated reporting and integrated thinking. Ms. Fomina is responsible for ensuring Business Network participants are supported in their adoption and implementation of integrated reporting. Prior to that, she worked at ACCA where she oversaw the continuous professional development provision for members (professional accountants) within the industry and commerce and financial services sector. Peter Kim is the Outreach Assistant. In this role, he manages the outreach team calendar, assists with travel planning and scheduling and develops and maintains presentation materials for investors. Prior to joining SASB, Mr. Kim worked in operations, outreach, and program development in several nationally-focused nonprofit organizations in the SF Bay Area. Dr. Malafronte is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at Roehampton Business School in London. her main research interests include corporate reporting, risk disclosure, market discipline, integrated reporting, integrated thinking and sustainability. She has extensive experience in higher education and her work has been published in national and international academic and professional journals.

As the Educational Content Manager for the Value Reporting Foundation, Maren Meyers leads the maintenance of the Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) curriculum, as well as the development of other educational content for audiences of SASB Standards. Prior to joining SASB in 2020, Ms. Meyers worked in sustainability consulting and standards development for five years, where she served and educated a range of REIT, corporate and foundation clients. She holds a BA in English and Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA with a specialization in Global Sustainability and Social Enterprise from Colorado State University.

He is also working for ABN AMRO in Amsterdam, as Global head of Business Advisory, Reporting & Engagement, and a member of the Group Sustainability Management team. With more than 20 years of experience in the banking sector he started as a private banker and investment advisor and later on as head of investment teams. For the last eight years he has been heading up a team that offers advice on sustainability and is responsible for integrated thinking and reporting.

He is also a member of the advisory board for the Center for Corporate Reporting in Zurich and of the A4S expert group.

Neil Stewart is the Value Reporting Foundation’s New York-based Director of Corporate Outreach, advancing awareness of the organization’s resources and helping companies world-wide with implementation. He is a member of the Value Reporting Foundation’s Assurance Task Force and oversees the SASB Standards Consultant Content Program. Neil brings to the Value Reporting Foundation more than 25 years of experience in and around investor relations and corporate governance. Previously he was at Citigroup as VP IR Advisory on the ADR team, helping non-US issuers develop IR and ESG strategies. Formerly Editorial & Research Director of both IR Magazine and Corporate Secretary magazine, Neil is a board member of NIRI NY, the New York chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute.

In his role, Ryan Suen works with organizations looking to use the SASB Standards as part of their commercial work, serving as their primary point of contact within Value Reporting Foundation. He provides guidance on best practices and uses of the Standards and their technical implementation to investors and other service providers as well as maps the Standards to other frameworks to increase their utility and adoption within market infrastructure.

Prior to joining Value Reporting Foundation, Mr. Suen worked within OTC Derivative Valuations and Settlements for BNY Mellon and Northern Trust. He is a Scrum Master and FSA Credential Holder.

Ms. Wilson’s role at the Value Reporting Foundation involves assisting the Business Network and Training Programme providing support with many tasks such as the Report Critique Project, monthly webinars, scheduling various types of calls for the team and frequently liaising with Training Partners to answer queries, launch live questionnaires and create completion certificates for participants. She also supports the Framework Panel by taking the relevant notes and typing up the appropriate minutes as well as providing Personal Assistant support to the Senior Management Team including extensive diary management across various time zones, raising expenses and preparing materials such as PowerPoint presentations for upcoming meetings.

Before joining the IIRC in 2020, Amy worked in business administration, corporate reception and personal assistant roles over the past five years in London.

Jonathan Labrey is Chief Policy Officer at the Value Reporting Foundation, leading the organization’s influencing strategy with policymakers and regulators. He has over 17 years of experience working in public policy, corporate governance and regulation in the accountancy and corporate reporting fields.

Mr. Labrey was responsible for global policy and strategy at the IIRC from 2012-2021. During this time, he developed a particular expertise in Asian markets, having worked across the region while living in Singapore. He has developed a deep understanding of capital market and corporate governance issues, working closely with businesses, investors, regulators and accountancy professional bodies.

Mr. Labrey led the public affairs and policy team at the ICAEW from 2004-10. From 2010-2012 he was head of communications at the UK’s Financial Reporting Council. He graduated in Law from King’s College London and started his career in the UK Parliament as an advisor to several Members of Parliament.

Granville Martin is the Director of US Policy and Outreach at the Value Reporting Foundation where he leads engagement with American regulators, corporates and trade associations.

Prior to joining Value Reporting Foundation, Mr. Martin was Senior Vice President for Policy & Advocacy and General Counsel at the Society for Corporate Governance, where he led the Society’s advocacy efforts related to corporate governance, securities law and regulation and other related issues. He also led the Society’s ESG-related efforts including assisting members in navigating the increased demands for disclosure and engagement, creating dialogue among issuers, investors and other stakeholders and representing Society views in a variety of forums.

Prior to joining the Society, he was a Managing Director of Sustainable Finance for JPMorgan Chase & Co. where he led a range of ESG-related initiatives, including working with investment and commercial banking units to manage environmental and social risks, engaging with clients and external stakeholders and advising the senior management and the Board. Key sectors included oil and gas, mining, timber, prison services, firearms, and other sectors with significant environmental and/or social impact.

After graduating law school, he joined the Office of the Counsel to Governor George Pataki of New York working on environmental issues such as wastewater treatment, New York City watershed protection and green buildings. He also worked on local government and mental health issues and negotiated with the State Legislature. After leaving the Pataki Administration, Mr. Martin represented the Financial Services Forum prior to joining JPMorgan Chase in 2005.

Mr. Martin earned a B.A. from Boston University and a J.D. from University of San Francisco and is admitted to the bar in New York and California.

Ms. Markham is Director of Public Policy and Stakeholder Engagement, responsible for driving awareness and building understanding of the Value Reporting Foundation through digital communications, marketing, events, media relations, publications and brand management.

Prior to that, Juliet led the International Integrated Reporting Councils’ global communications, building understanding of integrated reporting through digital communications, media relations and developing the IIRC brand. Juliet joined the IIRC in 2012 at the beginning of the IIRC’s framework development process and was active in the IIRC’s policy outreach in Europe, working in the region to position integrated reporting effectively.

Previously, Juliet worked as a researcher in the UK Parliament’s House of Lords, with a specific focus on tackling food waste and promoting international development. She was also in charge of events, training and communications for Women2Win, an organization that works to correct the gender imbalance in politics and was events and logistics co-ordinator for the Conservative Friends of International Development which promotes effective international development. Juliet has a BA (Hons) in Philosophy and Politics from the University of Exeter.

Mr. Bray is responsible for the Value Reporting Foundation’s relationships with the major accounting firms in the context of driving integrated reporting adoption and integrated reporting assurance in priority markets. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and Registered Company Auditor. Mr. Bray has been associated with the IIRC since its inception, including as a member of the IIRC Board of Directors (2017 to 2020). Prior to joining the IIRC management team, Michael was Director of KPMG Australia’s Better Business Reporting Services (2016-2020), and an audit partner of KPMG Australia between 1989 and 2016.

Michael continues as Professor of Practice (Integrated Reporting) at Deakin University, Director – Industry Engagement & Thought Leadership within the Deakin Integrated Reporting Centre, and Project Executive for the Australian Business Reporting Leaders Forum.

Michael was the Executive Partner of KPMG’s Global, Asia Pacific and Australian Energy & Natural Resources groups between 2001 and 2010, a Director of the Australian Energy Policy Institute and an alternate member of the 2015 B20 Infrastructure & Investment Task Force.

Norie Takahashi is based in Tokyo and is on a part-time secondment from KPMG Japan and has been the Region Lead in Japan since 2018.

Before joining the IIRC in 2020, he completed his MSc (Hons) in Ecological Economics at the University of Leeds where his research focused on redefining value creation, the development of strongly sustainable business models and the interplay between the natural environment and economic systems. Mr. Willis has previously worked as a research analyst and field ecologist, as well as gaining a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Manchester.

Previously Amanda served as Director of Global Communications for SASB. Since joining SASB in 2012, Ms. Medress started SASB’s communications function and helped raised national and international awareness of SASB’s mission and Standards. Prior to SASB, Ms. Medress worked at Edelman, where she developed corporate social responsibility reports for companies including Humana, VF, and Northern Trust, and advised on the sustainability strategies of companies including Burger King, Wrigley and Huggies. Ms. Medress has a BA from Oberlin College. She is the author and illustrator of an environmental children’s book entitled “Quaid McQueen, Trash Machine.”

Ms. Coker previously worked in corporate communications and events roles at the magic circle law firm Linklaters, Royal Bank of Canada and Charles Stanley Wealth Managers. Responsibilities in these roles included media relations, internal communications and client and CSR events. Harriet holds a BA (Hons) degree in English Literature from Durham University, UK.

Rommie Johnson is the Editorial Director for Policy and Research for the Value Reporting Foundation. Previously, Mr. Johnson worked in a variety of strategic communications positions with the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). Mr. Johnson has more than 25 years of varied and often multi-disciplinary business experience with a background in print and digital journalism, entrepreneurial ventures, sustainability, consulting and nonprofits. Mr. Johnson earned B.S. and MBA degrees from the University of Florida and holds both the Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) Credential and the Fundamentals of Integrated Reporting certificate.

Ms. Wilkins is an accomplished financial events producer and holds a First Class BA in Events Management from Liverpool JMU and is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) with the Events Industry Council. She is an active member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and Chairs their Advisory Board for Finance & Insurance Professionals. Ms. Wilkins is originally from the UK and is now based in New York.

Matthew Welch has dedicated his career to leading mission-based organizations through the challenges of achieving impact, scale and self-sufficiency. His experience spans government, nonprofit and for-profit sectors, and he has led teams in entering new markets, launching products and programs and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

As President & COO, Mr. Welch partners with the CEO to develop the organization’s strategic objectives and lead the staff in implementing them. He works across the organization to increase the efficiency and impact of operations, with a special focus on financial matters and the organization’s commercial activities.

He has broad experience in strategy, operations and product development, developed through senior roles at Kaplan Test Prep, Kaplan K12 Learning Services, Junyo, Teachscape and The Rotary Foundation. Years of experience with education programs, software and data products and research studies provide a good background for equipping the market with offerings that support education and use of the Foundation’s standards and frameworks.

Mr. Welch holds a BA from Grinnell College and an MPA in management and public policy from Columbia University. He is member of the Grinnell College Board of Trustees, where he has served on the Finance, Development and Academic Affairs Committees. He currently chairs the Audit & Assessment Committee.

Katharine Dawson leads the Value Reporting Foundation’s engagement with its Board of Directors and, as Head of UK Operations, is responsible for governance, legal and HR activities related to the Value Reporting Foundation team based in London.

Ms. Dawson joined the IIRC in August 2012 and held leadership positions for the organization’s governance, company secretarial, legal, HR and IT activities as its Head of Operations.

Ms. Dawson has over 20 years of operations experience including working as a Business Unit Manager in Financial Services at EY, where she was responsible for optimizing operational processes, financial reporting and client billing. She also held the role of Head of Marketing Support in Fixed Income’s European Corporate Group at BNP Paribas. At BNP Paribas, Ms Dawson worked closely with derivative, debt capital markets and foreign exchange teams, developed trade reporting information and was the Group’s liaison to the global Fixed Income Management Reporting unit.

Ms. Dawson has a keen interest in the natural sciences and holds a BSc (Hons) in Geology.

Previously she held the same title at SASB and concurrently served as acting HR Director. Ms. Hayner has over 20 years of consulting, finance and management experience in a variety of industries, from biotech to banking to aviation. Before joining SASB in 2018, she held leadership roles in a variety of early stage startups. Her background also includes over a decade in litigation consulting and forensic accounting, with a focus in intellectual property and employment law. Ms Hayner received a BA in Economics from Claremont McKenna College and a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management from the Australian National University. She holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential.

Alex Moir is Director of UK Finance and is responsible for producing the Value Reporting Foundation’s own integrated report. Mr. Moir joined the IIRC in 2014 and had responsibility for the IIRC’s finance, planning, reporting and funding.

Previously, Mr. Moir spent four years in PwC’s London Mid-Tier Assurance practice, attaining ACA qualification and working primarily on financial statements audits. He has an MA in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford.

Prior to working in this field, she worked for a number of non-profit organizations in roles ranging from Operations Manager for a major film festival to Executive Director for a small organization raising funds to support people living with HIV / AIDS in Colorado and abroad.

Ms. McArdle is Executive Assistant to the CEO and has responsibilities across human resources. Day to day she manages Janine Guillot’s schedule and provides additional executive support. She also coordinates contracts and HR policy, recruitment and appraisals. Vicky joined the IIRC in April 2017. Her work at the IIRC began with assisting in the delivery of the Networks and Training Programme as well as providing support to the senior management team.

Prior to joining the IIRC, Vicky worked in Barts Health NHS Trust providing PA and office support to the Estates and Facilities Associate Directors. Vicky also has experience in the HR department at Barts Health in the recruitment and bookings team.

Khoi Vo is the Value Reporting Foundation’s Technology Operations Manager. He has been in the IT industry since 1998 and he has a wide range of technology experience. Customer service related applications and infrastructure have been his most recent focus. Mr. Vo believes in a systematic approach to understanding relevant technologies. He then deploys them to enhance user experiences and to achieve institutional goals. Previously he held positions as an IT Director, network engineer, systems administrator, technical writer, technical trainer and technical engineer. All of this experience enables Mr. Vo to understand organizational needs at a very core level, and envision technology workflow accordingly.

Arturo Rodriguez is Special Project Manager at the Value Reporting Foundation and also serves as Outreach Lead for Ibero-America. As part of his first role, he spearheads different projects focused primarily on analyzing sustainability disclosure practices globally and mapping the SASB Standards to third-party databases. As part of the latter, Mr. Rodriguez leads efforts in the region to raise awareness among companies and investors about the Value Reporting Foundation, its core offerings (i.e. Integrated Thinking, Integrated Reporting and the SASB Standards) and the different tools available for their integration in decision-making and their implementation in reporting practices. He holds a Master’s in International and Development Economics by the University of San Francisco, USA and is a SASB FSA Credential Holder. He is based in Mexico City.

Brian Gougherty leads the Value Reporting Foundation’s global fundraising efforts, with a focus to both sustain annual operations and support future growth and expansion. Based in San Francisco, he has over 15 years experience connecting philanthropists, foundations and corporations with environmental, educational and cultural organizations. Mr. Gougherty worked at Worldreader prior to joining the Value Reporting Foundation and he holds a BA in History from the University of Michigan.

Blaine Pedlow serves as Major Gifts Officer at the Value Reporting Foundation, working to secure philanthropic funding from individuals and foundations in support of the Value Reporting Foundation’s mission. Based out of the Value Reporting Foundation’s San Francisco office, he has 10 years of experience fundraising for a variety of non-profits, including those working in outdoor education, youth athletics, environmental sustainability and large international universities.

Outside of his work with the Value Reporting Foundation, Mr. Pedlow is an avid competitive sailor, competing in both dinghy and offshore events worldwide. He holds a BS in Environmental Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

As Development Operations Manager, Carrie Phillips supports engagement with philanthropic funders and impact-focused communities. In this role, she works with staff to track and articulate progress and achievements. She conducts prospect and issue research, writes grant proposals and reports and creates funder engagement materials. Previously, she worked as Development Operations Manager and Development Associate at SASB. Ms. Phillips holds a MS in Management Studies from the Kellogg School of Management and a BA from Northwestern University where she studied Psychology and Environmental Policy & Culture.
